We found a tunnel that leads into the ground. It is dark but not considerably darker than above ground. Signal is better and clearer but with significantly more interference from other signals. The ground is gradually getting softer as we go deeper, but it still lights up, leaving a brightly lit trail behind us. The temperature changes are also more extreme, although without the windy gusts.
I'm having mixed feelings. On one hand, it seems like we're making swift progress. On the other hand, it seems like despite this, the journey back home remains long.
